The Oster Professional 76023-510 has a unique Fast Feed Clipper with an adjustable blade that allows you to cut from a range of lengths from close to medium. This is a quality clipper with really sharp blades (be careful!). It’s a nice gadget to have around the house for trimming not just your beard but your hair. Yes, this clipper can be used exclusively for beards although after trying it, you’ll want to test it on your head too!
The Oster Professional 76023-510 Fast Feed clippers are powered by a whisper-quiet pivot motor that has twice the power of standard magnetic clippers. Wet or dry, they plow through even the thickest hair. They feature an adjustable blade allowing the length to be quickly changed from extremely close (size 0000) to a medium-length cut (size 1). This kit also includes a cleaning brush, blade oil, blade guard and ½”, ¼”, 3/8”, and blending guide combs. Optional blade sets are also available.
Some of you might prefer showering after a trim. The good news is the Oster Fast Feed Clipper works well on wet hair and can be used after a shower. The build of this clipper is marvelous. It’s designed with a solid body that’s red and has a 12 amp pivot motor which is double the power of most clippers available in the market, which only run on an 8 amp motor.
There are times when you know that you have made a good investment just by looking at the product. The cord is nice and thick, and the body of the Oster Professional Fast Feed Clipper is robust and has a good grip. The blades are sharp and well-made, they look like they’ll last a long time.
Customer Experience with the Oster
We, men, love cutting our own hair, it’s quick and easy, they don’t have to fight traffic to get to the barbershop and most importantly it saves money – all those haircuts add up! But without a good pair of clippers, it’s a very painful and frustrating experience. The Oster Professional Fast Feed Clipper is hands down one of the best clippers around.
The powerful motor never misses a beat even when tackling my thick, wiry hair. And it cuts evenly every time so people don’t have to go over the same spot over and over and over (a common complaint with inferior clippers). This clipper isn’t heavy but it isn’t light either. Most reviewers wished that the cord would be a little light making it easier to use, but if that means less durability or power, most would rather it stay the way it is.
You’ll also love the various attachments so that you can give yourself a buzz and then get a nice professional-looking taper around the ears and neck, although the neck area is still a little tricky so it’s probably best to get your wife to touch that up. If you keep your hair pretty short (buzz cut), you don’t need many attachments but they do have an optional set if you have longer hair and want to get more creative with your cuts.
If you are the type who needs a complete set of attachments to try out new hair or beard styles now and then, it’s best to purchase the Oster 10 Piece Universal Comb Set to make this clipper set more complete. But less is more and most find that the attachments that come with the clipper are more than enough for their needs.
One thing that needs improvement for the Oster Professional 76023-510 Fast Feed Clipper is the quality of the trimmer guards. They aren’t really spectacular. First of all, they are not very long to start with – the longest one is 1/4″.
Another thing that Oster could have done to make this set more complete is the inclusion of a case for the entire set. A hard case to house all the accessories and attachments is a given, instead of using a substitute cardboard box for it. Someone has to tell Oster about this!
What We Like

- Light on your hands and has a comfortable grip and handle.
- Looks and feels premium because of its chrome design.
What We Don’t Like
- Doesn’t come with a case but I had ones from other clippers lying around so this wasn’t a big deal for me
- The heavier weight may bother some people but personally, I like that it has some heft to it
But say if you had to choose between having a solid clipper with no box or a dodgy one with a nice case, the majority of us would definitely choose the former without question. Oster makes good clippers – period. This clipper is easy to maintain and from the looks of it, will last me a long time and save me lots of money in the long run.
The Oster Professional Fast Feed Clipper is quite hard to beat for the price and its high-quality workmanship. A worthy addition if you already have a beard trimmer and am now looking for a backup or something to use for your hair.
